Robert "Bob" Hilbert of Chinook, WA, passed away on February 12, 2023 in Chinook, WA after a lengthy illness at the age of 77.
Bob was born in Shenandoah, PA to Abraham and Alma Hilbert and moved to Ilwaco, WA as a young boy. Bob graduated from Ilwaco High School. He married Sheryl Couch his wife of 57 years. He was drafted and served two years in the US Army in Germany. Upon his return he worked at Sid's Market for many years. He later moved to Battle Ground, WA then to Lake Havasu City, AZ where he retired then to Chinook, WA. He enjoyed hunting and camping with his sons and enjoyed his classic cars especially his GTO. Supercross was one of his favorite sports. Bob loved his family and loved to have fun and was known for his great sense of humor.
He is preceded in death by his parents, Abraham and Alma Hilbert, sister Barbara Hilbert, brother William "Bill" Hilbert and nephew Tom Hilbert.
He is survived by his wife Sheryl Hilbert, sons John Hilbert and James "Jim" Hilbert of Chinook, WA. Granddaughters Ashlyn (Jon) Randall of LaCenter, WA., Witney (Rhett) Lindberg of Battle Ground, WA. Grandsons Beau Hilbert and Justin Hilbert of Vancouver,WA. 5 great grandsons; Landen and Kohen Randall of LaCenter, WA., Maverick, Mylin and Kip Lindberg of Battle Ground,WA. Great granddaughters Sloane and Londyn of Battle Ground, WA. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
A celebration of life will be held this summer.
