Marva Wirkkala Bott

Marva Jean Wirkkala Bott, 88, passed away May 13, 2023 in Ocean Park, Washington.
Marva was born August 10th, 1934 in Ilwaco, Washington to Marvin and Viola Mae Willis. She was an only child. She grew up on her parents dairy farm on Stringtown Rd. in Chinook, Washington. She graduated from Ilwaco High School in 1952 and was Valedictorian of her class. After high school, she attended business college in Portland, Oregon. Following business college she worked for CRPA (Columbia River Packers Association).
On March 3rd, 1956, Marva married Robert (Bob) Wirkkala in Chinook, Washington. Together they had two boys, Keith & Eric.
In 1963, Marva began working for Telephone Utilities as adminstrator in Ilwaco, Washington, which later became Century Link, retiring after 29 years of service.
On March 21st, 1992, Marva married Dale Leland Bott in Naselle, Washington and resided together in
Vancouver, Washington until Dale’s death in 2010. Following Dale’s death, Marva moved back to Naselle,
Washington.
 Marva enjoyed dancing, family gatherings, community events, & traveling. She always prioritized her strong christian faith and was a member of several churches throughout her life. She loved her family and had “zest for life.”
She is survived by sons Keith (Dianne) Wirkkala, Eric (Mary) Wirkkala, Step-sons Butch (Gi) Bott, Rex Bott, Greg (Angie) Bott, grandchildren Amber (Thomas) Duncan, Kyle Wirkkala and numerous grandchildren & great grandchildren. Marva was proceeded in death by her parents Marvin & Viola Mae Willis, her husband Robert (Bob) Wirkkala, & her husband Dale Bott.

A graveside service will be held Friday, May 26th 2023 at 12:00pm at Naselle Peaceful Hill Cemetery. A reception will immediately follow at the Naselle Community Center - 14 Parpala Rd. Naselle, WA. In lieu of flowers, donations can made in honor of Marva to Naselle Lutheran Church and Naselle Peaceful Hill Cemetery.
