Lawrence Bergquist

January 14, 1965 — September 20, 2024

Lawrence Delbert Bergquist was born in Longview, Washington on January 14, 1965 to Delbert Carl Bergquist and Jacquelyn Mabel Spa. He was 59 years old when he died of natural causes at his home in Ilwaco, Washington. 

He grew up in Naselle, Washington and later in Longview, Washington. He went on to college at Western Washington University and graduated with a degree in Graphic Artistry. He worked for the Longview Daily News and then in Seattle doing graphic artist work. Later he worked for Foster Farms, Naselle Fish Hatchery, and Jessie's Cannery in Ilwaco. 

Lawrence spent his time painting pictures and sculpting with clay and doing photography. He took beautiful pictures. His special places to go camping were Salme Place and The Picnic Grounds on the Upper Naselle River. Lawrence had great love for his grandparents Carl & Aili Berquist. He spent lots of time with them in his younger years building special memories that would never be forgotten. The swinging bridge and the swimming hole where endless amounts of crawfish were caught and cooked at his grandparents place. He also spent time with his uncles Steve and Noel Bergquist. Lawrence had a special bond with his brother Bruce Busse. Wherever one was the other was close by. Lawrence loved all his nephews and nieces and had a special bond with each one. 

Lawrence is survived by a brother Gary Busse of Chinook, Washington, sister Sherry Brooks of Kelso, Washington, brother Bruce Busse of Ilwaco, Washington, nephew Aaron Fessler of Battle Ground, Washington, niece Lindsay Fennel of Longview, Washington, nephew Ryan Lee of Longview Washington, niece Ashley Busse of Longview, Washington, nephew Dallas Busse of Longview, Washington, great nieces Mckenzie & Lexi Townsend and Rosalee & Violet Busse, great nephew Wyatt Fessler, and uncle Noel Bergquist of Mesa, Arizona. 

There is no funeral but at a later date a celebration of life will be held.
