Gene Marse Lilly

Gene Marse Lilly passed away peacefully November 9, 2022.

Gene was born January 16, 1947 in Hillsboro, Oregon.  Gene was the third baseman on Hillsboro’s 1966 Oregon baseball state championship team. His love of sports led him to become an all sports whiz.

Following graduation from Hillsboro High School, Gene received a Bachelor of Science degree from Linfield College. He loved the outdoors, hunting and fishing and was involved in the Ocean Charter boat scene.  He had many limits of razor clams.

As a senior supervisor for ODOT in Astoria, it led to many road and bridge projects throughout Oregon.  

Gene lived and was affiliated with the Long Beach Peninsula for most of his 75 years of life.  He is survived by his only brother Craig along with numerous cousins who reside in the Olympia area.  Gene will be greatly missed.

A Celebration of Life will be held at the Sea Breeze Charter office commencing the Blessing of the Fleet in early May.
