Willard Henry "Bud" Lynch, 70, of Long Beach, WA, died April 10, 2004 at a local hospital. Bud was born May 29, 1928 at The Presidio in San Francisco to Lt. Col. Harry Lynch and Ellen Futtrup Lynch and was the Grandson of Nils Willard and Alice Gerow Futtrup (married in Chinook, Wa 1894). He was a talented aerospace engineer, and had graduated from University of Portland in 1952. On May 31, 1952 he and Irma Jane Osmer married. They spent there retirement years between Long Beach and their home in California. Bud enjoyed sailing, hunting, fishing, backpacking, and gold mining. Family vacations always included a neighbor child that felt he was the Dad they never had. Bud's life was full, his accomplishments many, and his love for his wife stronger the most can imagine. He will be fondly remembered by many. Survived by his loving, devoted wife of 55 years, Irma Lynch; His Children, Lynda Borer, Patricia Shapiro, David Lynch, Sharon Saunders, Amy Kennedy, Marylisa Lynch His grandchildren, Thomas & Kathryn Borer, Matthew, Daniel, & Jonathan Shapiro, Ellen, Erik, and Jane Lynch, and Sarah & Ethan Kennedy; brother James Lynch and sister Mary Lynch of Cathlamet, Wa. He was preceded in death by his children Molly Anne, Daniel, and James Lynch and grandchildren Joshua David Lynch and Jacob Michael Lynch. A recitation of the Rosary and Funeral Mass were held April 14, 2008 at St. Mary's Catholic Church in Seaview, WA. A further Mass and burial will take place in Saratoga, CA on Friday April 18, 2008.
