Cheryl Rose

Cheryl A. Rose, 61, died at her Ocean Park residence on March 2, 2008. The daughter of Emery and Elizabeth (New) Day, she was born in Fairhope, Alabama on February 3, 1947. Cheryl grew up in Mobile, Alabama where she graduated from high school. Immediately following graduation she joined the U.S. Army where she served for two years in the Women's Army Medical Corps. On July 30, 1971 she married Clyde Rose in LaCenter, Washington where the couple settled. There Cheryl continued her family and also worked in a local nursing home. In 1974 she moved to Ridgefield, Washington and in 1992 relocated to Randle, Washington. There she and Clyde worked as campground hosts and later Cheryl worked as a home health care provider. In 2004 she and Clyde moved to Ocean Park. Cheryl enjoyed hunting, fishing, camping and almost any outdoor activity. In past years she played on and also coached softball teams and also enjoyed reading and gardening. She loved her family and was proud of her independent nature. Cheryl is survived by her husband Clyde of Ocean Park; mother Elizabeth Day of Colorado; daughters Angel Penick of Iowa, Angie Taylor serving with the U.S. military and Anna Rose of Tacoma, WA; son Ted Taylor of Vancouver, WA; sisters Debbie of Alabama, Kathy of Maryland, Maureen of Texas and Michelle of Wisconsin; grandchildren Tera, Elizabeth, Jeanna, Victoria, DJ, Jason and Ashley.
