Doris Maffit

Doris Elaine Maffit, 90, passed away on September 6, 2007 in Long Beach, Washington. Born in Albany on January 12, 1917 to Anna and Warren Burton she was an Oregon resident until four years ago. E.H. Maffit, her husband of 31 years, her son Floyd, and granddaughter Monique, preceded her in death. Her daughters, Arlene Janssens and Tamara Pearson, son-in-law Jeff Pearson, daughter-in-law Janice Burton, seven grandchildren, eight great grandchildren, and numerous nieces and nephews survive her. Doris was active in PTA, Lions Club and Eagles. Her hobbies included travel, bingo, fishing/hunting, playing cards, Keno, and gardening. A memorial service for Doris will be held at St. John Lutheran Church in Salem on September 20, 2007 at 11:00 am. Inurnment follows at the Odd Fellows Cemetery in The Dalles.
