Long Beach resident Donna I. Smith, 59, died November 28, 2007 in Vancouver, WA. The daughter of William and Myrtie (Rudolph) Bledsoe, she was born September 20, 1948 in St. Joseph, MO. At a young age, Donna and her brothers suffered the loss of their parents. As a result, the family split up and they were out of touch for nearly thirty years. She then worked as a daytime bartender at Nick's West. Donna enjoyed her photography, and loved the beach where she flew kites. Her favorite area was Waikiki Beach at Cape Disappointment State Park in Ilwaco. Surviving Donna are her brothers Billy Bledsoe and his wife Cathy of Kansas City, MO; John (Blaze) Bledsoe and his wife Linda of Long Beach, WA; and Donna's beloved dog Rusty. A memorial service will be held for Donna at 2:oo PM on Saturday December 8, 2007 at Penttila's Chapel by the Sea.
