Frances I. Fancher, 80, of Long Beach, WA passed away peacefully and surrounded by her two loving sons, at her home on November 4, 2007 following a four-year struggle with kidney failure. Fran was born December 10, 1926 in Angels Camp, California to Primo and Pauline (Ruiz) Ferdani. Her father was a gold miner in Calaveras and Amador Counties. Fran graduated from Sutter Creek, CA High School and Stockton Community College. On July 28, 1947 she married John C. "Jack" Fancher, in Sutter Creek. She worked with Jack on the family ranch in Buena Vista until it was sold and then worked full time raising their two sons. Jack preceded her in death in 2001. Fran loved her family and was immensely proud of her grandchildren and great-grandchildren. She was a member of the Sutter Creek Catholic Church and the Native Daughters of the Golden West. Fran is survived by her two sons Craig (Barbara) Fancher of Jackson, CA and Wayne Fancher of Long Beach, WA; grandchildren Tina (Jim) Wittenbrock of Coeur D' Alene, ID and Justin Fancher of Sutter Creek and five great-grandchildren; brother Lawrence (Doreen) Ferdani of Sutter Creek and a neice and three nephews, as well as several cousins Visitation and recitation of the rosary will be held 5:00 PM on Wednesday, November 7, 2007 at Daneri Mortuary in Jackson, CA. Graveside burial services will held 11:00 AM November 8, 2007 at Sutter Creek (CA) Catholic Cemetery.
