John Stedman

John L. Stedman, 65, of Long Beach, died August 2, 2007 at his home following a long battle with cancer. He was one of three children born in Seattle, WA on September 4, 1941 to Manzel and Darlene (Dorian) Stedman. He grew up in Seattle and graduated from Lincoln High School. John married Linda Rosburg in 1987. John and Linda owned and operated a cabinet distributing company in Bremerton for many years. In 2002 they moved permanently to their beach home in Long Beach. His favorite activities were sailing and flying kites. Surviving his is loving wife of 20 years Linda. Also surviving are children Patricia Glenn of Salem, OR, Joanna Stedman of Kirkland, WA, Carolyn Ahlstrom of Issaquah, Wa and Alan Stoffer of Des Moines, IA; brother Jordan Stedman of Seattle; sister Iona Sharron of Edmonds, WA; six grandchildren and several nieces and nephews. A Memorial Service will take place Thursday, August 9, 2007 at 1:00 o'clock in the afternoon, at Penttila's Chapel by The Sea in Long Beach. Linda's brother, Deacon Raymond Rosburg, will officiate.
