Michael H. Neal, 60, died September 15, 2007 at his Ocean Park residence. Born July 23, 1947 in Anaheim, California, he was the son of Charles and Dona (Fanning) Neal. After graduating from high school Mike served in the US Navy and then served with the merchant marine. Mike moved to the Peninsula 25 years ago from Vancouver, Washington. He was employed locally as a chef at various restaurants and was a member of Ocean park Eagles lodge. Mike enjoyed life at the coast, clam digging, fishing, driving the beach and cooking gourmet meals for family and friends. His cooking skills were legendary. Mike also always enjoyed his canine companions. Mike is survived by his mother Dona Neal; wife Victoria Neal; children Makalani Neal and Michael H. Neal Jr.; sister Peggy Thompson; brother Patrick Charles Neal of Hayden, ID; several nieces and nephews and other members of his extended family. No service will be held.
