Nick Patee III

May 28, 1942 — March 15, 2008

OBITUARY OF HAROLD W. "Nick" PATEE III Harold "Nick' Patee, 65, died March 15, 2008 in a local care center. The son of Harold and Eunice (Rogers) Patee, he was born in Ridgefield, Washington on May 28, 1942. Growing up in Ridgefield he attended local schools and graduated from Ridgefield High School where he played in the school band and became a skilled trumpet player. Following high school Nick moved to Vancouver. He worked in a Portland bakery for a number of years prior to moving to Seaview 18 years ago. Locally he was self-employed as a handyman until retirement. Nick enjoyed retirement years at the coast. He was proud to have played trumpet with famed trumpeter Rafael Mandez. In his latter years of Nick's life, he worked very hard to live his life for Christ. Nick and Cathie Sickenberger were married for a number of years and were parents of three children. Following their divorce Nick remarried. Sharon Kay (Douglas) and Nick remained married for eighteen years, and together they parented one daughter and Sharon's two children from a prior relationship. Besides his children, Nick is survived by his parents Harold and Eunice Patee of Ridgefield, WA; brother Steven and Jerry Patee both of Ridgefield; and other members of his extended family. No service will be held. Cremation arrangements are by Pacific Crematory at Penttila's Chapel by The Sea, Long Beach.
