Patricia M. Deahl, 90, died April 14, 2008 in Vancouver, Washington where she had resided the past 24 years. The only child of Charles and Frances (Curtis) Williams, she was born in Wallace, Idaho on February 9, 1918. In 1936 she married Leonard C. Smith and moved to Baker, Oregon where she resided until 1958 when she moved to Portland. While living in Portland, Patricia was employed as credit manager for the Lloyd Center Nordstrom store until 1973 when she and Leonard relocated to Ocean Park. She worked at the Ilwaco port office until retirement in 1979. Patricia loved the Peninsula and spent many happy years here. She loved to bowl and had many 200 point game pins to prove how good she was. She and husband Larry loved to treasure hunt on the beach with their old beater Jeep. Patricia outlived most all of her friends whom she loved dearly. She grew up in as a practicing Catholic and graduated from Saint Francis Academy in Baker, Oregon. Her loved of her Lord and her faith was practiced daily. Her family will remember this special lady who was devoted to her faith and her family. Patricia lost her first husband, Leonard Smith in 1976. In 1979 she married Larry Deahl of Long Beach. Patricia and Larry were both active in Long Beach Elks activities, both locally and state-wide. Patricia is survived by daughters Karleen Clements of Washougal, WA, Shay Williams of Vancouver, WA and Robbie Sims of CleElm, WA; step-son Bill Deahl of Astoria; 12 grandchildren and 23 great-grandchildren. In addition to her first husband she was preceded in death by her son Kenneth Smith who died in 1997 and her husband Larry Deahl who passed in 1986. A Graveside service was held Thursday, April 17, 2008 at Ilwaco Cemetery with Deacon Glenn Cliffton of St. Mary's Catholic Church officiating.
