Patty Phillips, 48, of Kilpsan Beach, died suddenly October 20, 2007 at home. She was born March 11, 1959 in New London, Connecticut to Leonard and Mary (MacGregor) Beebe, and was one of five children. She graduated from high school there. In the 1990's, Patty moved to the West Coast, and worked at the Elmer's Restaurant in Lynnwood, WA until an injury forced her early retirement. On August 13, 2006, she married Johnny Phillips. He survives her. A bubbly personality, Patty would light up a room whenever she entered. She was generous to a fault. If she only had a dime in her possession, she would give it to someone else in need. While living on the East Coast, she and her family were very active in the early years of NASCAR racing. Her perfect day would entail putting her beloved dog "Jake" in the red pickup truck and riding the beach. Besides Johnny, Patty is survived by sons William Picard, Jr. of Connecticut, Cody Erlbeck of Ocean Park and Dakota Phillips of Naselle; Her parents Leonard and Mary Beebe of Connecticut; one brother; three sisters and a granddaughter, Payton Picard. A memorial service was held Saturday, October 27, 2007 at 3:30 PM in the afternoon at Penttila's Chapel by The Sea, Long Beach with Pastor Jarrett Johnson of Ocean Beach Presbyterian Church, Seaview officiating. Memorial contributions in Patty's memory may be made to: Harriett Cavali PO Box 945 Ocean Park, WA 98640.
