Sheryl Gordon

Sheryl Ann Gordon, 47, of Long Beach, died May 27, 2008, peacefully surrounded by her family following a courageous battle with cancer. Sheryl was born March 17, 1961 in Oakland, CA to Raymond and Bernice (Dennis) Coughlin. Sheryl moved to the Northwest in 1972. She fell in love with the Peninsula twenty years ago. She worked in the hospitality industry here. Sheryl had many friends, was a generous person and very outgoing. She loved animals, especially cats. She was also self-taught artist. Sheryl is survived by her father, Raymond Coughlin of Reno, NV; mother Bernice Vaughn of Long Beach, WA; son Jason Gordon of California; brother Raymond (& Mary) Coughlin of Tacoma, WA; sisters Kathy (& Dave) Laford of Portland and Deena (& Paul) Blaylock of Long Beach, WA as well as several nieces and nephews. The family will have a celebration of life at a later date. Because of her love of cats, they family has requested donations to the South Pacific County Humane Society.
