Virginia C. Mohr, 65, died June 16, 2008 at her Seaview residence. The daughter of Clarence and Marian (Gonljes) Curries, she was born in Hinckley, Minnesota on September 25, 1942. Virginia grew up and received her education in Hinckley. For 26 years she ran a trucking company in Hinckley and then for 10 years worked road construction and was a member of the operating engineers union. Fifteen years ago, after experiencing three tornados "up close and personal", she decided it was time to move and settled on the Peninsula. Virginia had many interests. In past years she took pride in owning several Corvettes and participating in autocross races with them. Sewing, knitting, collecting clothes and hair accessories were enjoyed as was photography. Virginia also loved her cats. She was a kind and loving person who was especially close to her daughter. Virginia is survived by her daughter Tamara Mohr of Seaview; one brother and two sisters. No formal service will be held. The guestbook is available at www.penttilaschapel.com.
