Daniel Ralph Weller, 65, a 30-year resident of the Long Beach Peninsula, passed July 27, 2008 in Long Beach from cancer. Daniel was born in Atkinson, Nebraska on August 30, 1942 to Donald and Edna "Savilla" Weller. Daniel was first married to Myrn Cochran and they resided in Portland, Oregon. He later married Jacqueline Jensen and they resided in Brownsmead, Oregon, Chinook and Long Beach Washington. Daniel enjoyed the freedom of self-employment by dealing in scrap metal and owning and operating several grocery and second hand stores. He was a man that could never pass up a good garage sale. He loved his family and especially his grandchildren. He always said "It starts with family and ends with family". Daniel was a long time member and held several priesthood callings in the LDS Church and married his second wife Jacqueline in the Seattle, Washington Temple. Daniel is survived by his wife Myrn whom he remarried after the passing of his eternal partner Jacqueline; daughter Cindi and husband Dennis Johnson of Parachute, Colorado; son Marty Weller and wife Donna of Rainier, Oregon; daughter Louise and husband John Griffen of Vancouver, Washington; son Bradley Weller and wife Beth of Vancouver, Washington; son Arnold Weller of Vancouver, Washington; daughter Janet Mossman and husband Leonard of Warrenton, Oregon; daughter Janice and husband Lewis Ramsey of Larado, Kansas. He also raised Tim, Donald, Raedene and Bruce VanDyke as his own. Daniel had 23 grandchildren; Leland, Wade, Thomas, Crystal, Brian, Chad, Heather, Tiffany, Craig, Aaron, Paul, Elisa, Alan, Jacqueline, Dustin, Wesley, Brandon, Brodie, Brianda, William, Bryce, Devon and Cody; and 10 great-grandchildren, Also surviving are brothers William Weller of Ocean Park, Washington and David Weller of Hillsboro, Oregon; and sisters Raedene Curry and Donna Wack both of Portland, Oregon. His parents, his 2nd wife Jacqueline, son Brian Sager, daughter Candi and son-in-law Thomas Mooney and their 3 children Anthony, Amy and Robert, preceded Daniel in death. Funeral service will be held at 10:00 AM, Saturday, August 2nd at the LDS Church, 3rd and Niagara St. in Astoria, Oregon with a luncheon following. Graveside dedication follows at Murray Hill Cemetery in Clatskanie, Oregon.
