Clorinda A. Centoni, (aka Grama) 95, of Long Beach, WA She died peacefully Thursday evening, 7/31/08 at the Ocean View Convalescent Center in Long Beach, WA. She had been dealing with COPD and CHF (congestive heart failure). The Lord called her home. Her husband, Amerigo in 1975, one sister in Modesto, CA and one brother in Tacoma, WA, preceded Clorinda in death. She is survived by her only child Sharon Quaschnik arid husband Dan of Naselle, WA; three grandchildren (Dina Ewing) & Mike of Orting, (Jeff Perkins) & Shawn of Seattle, Chris Quaschnik of Renton, and one great grandchild (Jordan Perkins) 21 months old and the light of her life. She also has two surviving sisters, Irene Johnston of Bellevue and Della Pittman of Tacoma; several nieces and nephews, great nieces and nephews, great great nieces & nephews, and many relatives and friends (some recent and some from childhood). She was a lifetime member of the Tacoma Unit #1 and the Puyallup Eagles. She was a lifelong Catholic who enjoyed life to the fullest and touched many lives. She retired from Charles Wright Academy as "Chief Cook" and loved being around the students. Her hobbies of late were ceramics, cards, bingo and painting. A memorial and "Celebration of Life" will be Saturday, Sept. 6 @ 3:00 pm at the. Soldiers Home in Orting in the Chapel, with a reception to follow. Her ashes will be buried with her husband @ Calvary Cemetery in Lakewood. Please join us to share memories and remember her as the vibrant, good humored, and Ioving, giving person she was.
