Curtis E. Priebe, 42, of Seaview, WA died September 28, 2008 at home of a tragic accident. His wife of 12 months, Rochelle, also perished. He was born June 29, 1966 in Seattle to Russell and Mille (Walton) Priebe. The family moved to Astoria then Curtis was a child. Curtis attended school in Astoria. When he was just 16, he began crafting fine furniture. He worked as a carpenter and logger. His real love was for the sea. He was a commercial fisherman and a member of The Pacific Coast Federation of Fisherman's Associations. Many characteristics best would describe Curtis and these are some: He loved his family, was hard working, he made p laugh and enjoyed pranks and jokes. He made breakfast for this family. He always said "Live life to the fullest!" He was always helping people, was a social leader, a real people person. He loved the outdoors and animals. Survivors include Daughters Jenny, Jasa and Shonna of Astoria; step-children Anthony, Theresa, Andrea and Cyrus; step grandson Dakota; parents Millie Priebe and Russell Priebe; stepmother Bonnie Jean Priebe; sister Susan Grove and nieces Crystal and Heather Grove. A memorial service will take place 2 o'clock in the afternoon Saturday October 18, 2008 at Holiday Inn Express in Astoria.
