Seaside, Oregon resident Dolores G. Anderson, 95, died in Seaside on March 13, 2009. The one of eight children born to John and Gladys (Williamson) McGunniele, she was born on December 13, 1913 in Sunnyside, Washington. She grew up in Everett and several other towns in western Washington where she received her education. Dolores married Roscoe Anderson in 1932 and they settled in Anacortes, Washington where she became a wife, mother and homemaker. Later she returned to Everett and in the 1950s moved to the Longview-Kelso area. In the 1960s she settled in Chinook and later in Ilwaco before moving to the Warrenton-Seaside area where she resided until her death. Dolores was committed to her Christian faith and was always active in churches where ever she resided. Most recently she was a member of the Philadelphia Church in Hammond, Oregon. Dolores was an excellent homemaker and cook. She used her cooking skills to assist her daughter Muriel Hunter when she operated The Turkey House restaurant in Chinook. Dolores also enjoyed quilting, knitting and in years past had played the piano professionally. Dolores is survived by her sons James Anderson of Redwood City, California, John Anderson of Kenai, Alaska and David Anderson of Silverdale, Washington; daughter Billie Lee Diettrick of Everett, Washington; numerous grand and great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband, daughter Muriel Hunter, son Charles Anderson and her seven siblings. A private family gathering will be held.
