Dane M. Bonfigt, 18, a resident of Long Beach the past 18 years, died in Oysterville on May 31, 2009. He was born February 8, 1991 in Portland, Oregon where he resided until moving to the Peninsula in 1998. Dane attended Ocean Park elementary school and Ilwaco High School. He attended Anchor Baptist Mission. Dane volunteered at His Supper Table for the past 6 years and at the thrift store where he received the presidential service award for over 1000 hours of volunteer service. Dane loved weight lifting and wrestling. He was devoted to his church, enjoyed helping at vacation Bible school, attending camp, working with younger children at church activities, and operating the sound system at church. He found joy in pleasing others, had a big heart and loved life. Dane is survived by his parents Mike and Cheryl Bonfigt; siblings Steve Grohs, Robert Grohs, Justin Grohs, Nicholas Killam, Matthew Greene, Danielle Bonfigt, Tara Killam, Angie Grohs and Lois Bonfight.
