Gary Maakestad

Gary L. Maakestad, 61, died at his Ocean Park residence on July 25, 2009. He was born in Los Angeles, California, the son of William and Lorraine Maakestad. Gary worked as an inventory clerk in the grocery business for a number of years. He moved to Ocean Park 4 years ago. He enjoyed hunting and was skilled at wood working. Gary is survived by his mother, two children, two brothers, two sisters and six grandchildren. A memorial service will be held at 11:00 o'clock in the morning August 7, 2009 in Penttila's Chapel by The Sea, Long Beach.
