MICHAEL JUDSON BURTON Former Peninsula resident Mike Burton, 65, died October 19, 2009 in Longview, Washington'following a short illness. The son of Edward and Frances (Ohme) Burton, Mike was born in Longview on February 18, 1944. He was raised in Seaview, residing on property his grandfather originally purchased in 1914. Mike received his education in Ilwaco schools and following graduation from Ilwaco High School he enlisted in the US Navy. He was a cook on board the destroyer USS Theodore E. Chandler DD717, serving during the Vietnam Conflict. Mike loved the ocean and the outdoors. His greatest pleasure during the last few years was found in gardening. He resided the past few years in, Cathlamet. Mike is survived by a daughter Samantha and his sister Karen Harrell of Seaview. He was preceded in death by his parents and two daughters.
