Ocean Park resident Peter B. Duncan, 89, died in Portland, Oregon on December 17, 2009. The son of Peter Duncan Sr. and Myrtha Neal, he was born in Fort Smith, Arkansas on August 6, 1920. Two years after his birth he moved with his family to Orange county California. There he attended grade and high school in Anaheim Pete served as a member of the United States Air Force for over 22 years, retiring with the rank of Senior Master Sergeant. Following retirement he was employed with the United States Postal Service for 12 years. In 1951 he married Eunice Agner who preceded him in death. In 1974 Pete moved to Ocean Park from Phoenix, Arizona. Pete was a member of Long Beach Elks and Ocean Park Eagles. He and his best friends Duane and Jim were daily regulars for breakfast and coffee at The Berry Patch in Ocean Park. Pete enjoyed retirement on the Peninsula and also enjoyed participating in fishing and trap shooting. Pete is survived by his brother Aaron Duncan of Santa Ana, CA; sister Dorothy Salaets of Anaheim, CA; numerous nieces and nephews; and his friend and companion Jeannine Miller of Long Beach. He was preceded in death by a brother Gale Duncan. Pete requested that no service be held.
