Raymond Hann, 70, died January 30, 2010 at his Ocean Park residence. The son of Rex and Frances Hann, he was born in Olympia, Washington in 1939. He graduated from Aberdeen High School in 1957 and soon thereafter enlisted in the United States Air Force. In 1963 Ray began his electrician apprenticeship with IBEW Local 76. He worked as an electrician and business representative for the union prior to working for Washington State Department of Labor & Industries as an electrical inspector. Ray was a strong union man who loved working construction jobs and was helpful with the picket lines. He retired for Washington State in 2004 and moved to Ocean Park where he built the shop of his dreams. Ray had always loved cars and especially enjoyed taking them apart and souping up the motor a bit along with doing metal work on them. His best work was his fully customized yellow '49 Mercury. Ray is survived by his wife Ruth of Ocean Park; sons Michael and Bryan Hann; four grandchildren; and his sister Julie Steffen. At his request no service will be held. Ray's guestbook is available at www.penttilaschapel.com.
