Carla Jean Belisle

Carla J. Belisle, 46, died at peacefully her Long Beach residence on April 30, 2010. Born in Vancouver, Washington on February 24, 1964, she was the daughter of Robert and Violet (DeVaney) Loghry. Carla grew up in Camas where she attended local schools and graduated from Camas High School. Having originally met in 1981, she and Jamie Belisle reconnected in 1997 and married July 4, 1998. He survives residing at the family residence. Carla was employed as a purchasing agent for Clark County while living in Camas. She moved to Long Beach in 1997 and was employed as purchasing agent for Ocean Beach Hospital in Ilwaco. Carla loved animals and especially enjoyed caring for her horses. Camping, boating and just being outdoors were also enjoyed. She volunteered at the South Pacific County Humane Society and at the Audubon Society in Portland and also participated in Pacific County Search and Rescue. Besides her husband, Carla is survived by her mother Mary Loghry of Ocean Park; father Bob Loghry of Washougal, WA; brother and sister-in-law Jerry and Diane Loghry of Camas; nieces and nephews Jason and Grant of Vancouver and Brennan and Maggie of Camas; uncles Bob (Jean) DeVaney of Washougal and Leon (Eldene) Loghry of Woodland, WA; cousin Lori Maldanaldo of Woodland; mother-in-law Elanor Belisle of Long Beach; brother-in law John (Tami) Belisle of Ocean Park; sister-in-law Becky (Darrell) Miller of Seaview; and other members of her extended family. Carla's celebration of life will be held Saturday, May 15th, 2010 1:00pm at Peninsula Baptist Church 23802 Pacific Hwy 103 Ocean Park, WA 98640 Memorials in her memory may be made to the South Pacific County Humane Society, PO Box 101, Long Beach, WA 98631.
