Lila Weisz, 89, of Naselle passed away on July 19th at home. She was born August 28, 1920 In New York to Emil and Helen (Fogel) Weiss. It was there that she attended school. Lila grew up during the Great Depression and World War II. After the war her family provided refuge to survivors of the Holocaust. One such survivor was Dr. Martin Weisz whom she married in 1948. They were married for 25 years until his death in 1973. Lila never had the opportunity to go to college, but was a self educated scholar of history, politics and literature. She was fascinated by world events. She was also a talented artist and photographer. She moved from the northeast to Florida in the early 1990's and then to Naselle to be with her daughter, Eileen, in 2006. She was much loved and will be missed dearly. She is survived by her two daughters, Eileen Williams of Naselle and Judith Smith of Florida. She is also survived by her son-in-law, Bruce Williams and grandchildren Sarah, Eli, Martin and Naomi.
