Dorothy R. Garland

Dorothy Rollins Garland, 98, of Long Beach, died August 21, 2010 in Ilwaco. Dorothy was born October 1, 1911 in Milan, Missouri to Stanley and Edwina (Hoffman) Rollins. She was raised in Kirksville, MO. She has lived on the peninsula for the past twenty-five years. Dorothy was married to Dr. Earl A. Garland, MD and he proceeded her in death in 1980. She is survived by a sister Joan R. Sonntag of Ocean Park; nephews Stan & Steve Sonntag; nieces Neda J. Darnell, Barbara Adams and Patty Miller; best friends Georgia Brewer, Ethel Boler and Helen Collins. A celebration of life will take place Sunday 2 PM August 29, 2010 at the Long Beach Retirement Center 800 N. Washington St Long Beach. Arrangements by Penttila's Chapel by The Sea.
