Alma Mae Hilbert

Alma M. Hilbert, 89, a 57 year resident of the Peninsula, died in Astoria on October 23, 2010. The daughter of William and Ethel (Beck) Dower, she was born in Frackville, Pennsylvania on May 20, 1922. She graduated from high school on Frackville and on August 30, 1941 married Lincoln "Abe" Hilbert. Alma was a wife, mother and friend to many. She was employed in retail sales and most recently she resided in Ilwaco. She was very close to her daughter Barbara whom she paid special attention to. Alma is survived by her son Robert L. Hilbert; daughter Barbara A. Hilbert; grandchildren John, Jim, Andy and Beth; 6 great-grandchildren; and one great-great grandchild. He was preceded in death by her husband; son William Hilbert; and grandson Tom Hilbert. Her family has gathered to honor her memory.
