Frank G. Seeker, 87, a long time resident of Ocean Park, died in Raymond, Washington on April 14, 2011. The son of Frank and Ruth (Dickerson) Seeker, he was born in St. Louis, Missouri on February 6, 1924. At any early age he moved with his family to Iowa and he received his education in Shenandoah, Iowa. Frank served for five years during the Second World War with Company E of the US Army. He was attached to a British regiment and saw action during the invasion of North Africa among other campaigns. On July 25, 1945 he married Doris Stephens and following his military service they settled in Shenandoah, Iowa where they were married. In 1952 Frank moved to the Peninsula. Initially he was employed in oystering before going to work for Ilwaco Telephone Company. Over the years he continued employment in management with Telephone Utilities and CenturyTel until retirement. Frank was a former member of the Ocean Park School Board. He enjoyed golfing and was a member of the Surfside Men's Golf Club. He was a member also of the Ocean Park Eagles and a former member of the Elks and Moose lodges. Besides golf, Frank enjoyed bowling and time with family and friends. He was a member of the Methodist faith. Besides his wife of 66 years, Frank is survived by daughters Pamela (John) Oja of Longview, WA and Jennifer (Wayne) Blake of Naselle, WA; grandchildren Alicia (Adam) Morrison of Eugene, OR, Jacob (Shannon) Oja of Vancouver, WA and Severy Blake of Camarillo, CA; great-grandchildren Elizabeth Oja, Eleanor Oja and Margaret Morrison; nephew Tim Seeker; nieces Marie Seeker, Marlynn Miller and Connie Kesler. He was preceded in death by his brothers Earl Seeker and Richard Seeker. No service is scheduled at this time.
