Richard A. Rautio

Long Beach resident Richard A. Rautio, 62, died in Ilwaco on June 11, 2011. A native of Seattle, he was born there on December 11, 1948 the son of William and Neva (Helm) Rautio. A 24 year resident of the Peninsula, Richard was employed as a maintenance man for Peninsula Sanitation for a number of years before becoming a teachers aid in local schools. Richard was a husband, father, grandfather and friend to many who will miss his presence. Survivors include his children Selena Allen of Pennsylvania, Jennifer Rautio of Hermiston, OR, Joshua Rautio of Seattle, Terry Hoover of Long Beach and Jimmy Hoover of Mississippi; sister Barbara Krout of Texas; and other members of his extended. He was preceded in death by his wife Pauline. Family and friends gathered recently at Lone Fir Cemetery in Long Beach for graveside rites. His guestbook is available at www.penttilaschapel.com.
