Ocean Park, Washington resident Jeanne V. Zubal, 86, died in Ilwaco on July 26, 2011. The daughter of Dan and Irene Dugan, she was born January 8, 1925 in Salem, Oregon. As a child she moved with her parents to Seattle where she grew up, graduating from Cleveland High School. In 1947 she married Frank Zubal and became a wife, mother and homemaker. Jeanne also was employed as a clerk at Boeing Aircraft until retirement in 1984 when she and Frank moved to Ocean Park. Jeanne was active locally as a member of Ocean Park Eagles, Long Beach Elks, AARP, and at the Senior Center at Klipsan Beach. She and Frank also enjoyed many trips with their camping group the Slo-Laners. Additionally Jeanne participated in Reachout and volunteered at the local Thrift Store. In addition to her husband of 64 years, Jeanne is survived by sons Frank (Kathy) Zubal of Everett, WA and Fred (Karla) Zubal of Auburn, WA; daughter Janeen Marlin-Wilson of Ocean Park; eight grandchildren and 13 great-grandchildren. Jeanne's smile and presence will be greatly missed by all who ever had the privilege to know her. A Celebration of Life will take place August 14, 2011 at 2:00 PM at the Ocean Park Eagles.
