MARILYNN MAY ROBERTSON Marilynn M. Robertson, 76, a 16 year resident of the Peninsula, died at her Long Beach residence on August 20, 2011. Marilynn was born November 4, 1935 and attended grade school in Centerville, Washington before attending high school in Goldendale, Washington. In 1952 she moved to Vancouver, Washington where a year later she graduated from Vancouver High School. Following high school Marilynn attended business college. She was a bookkeeper for Wadell's Restaurants for several years before working in the same capacity for Hagedorn Land Surveying. For a number of years Marilynn accompanied her husband Norman playing music at a variety of locations in the Portland area including The Airport Inn, Jollie's, LaMesa, The Gypsy and The Woodshed. They also played at the McMinnville Bowling Alley, at locations in Sandy and Warrenton, Oregon, at the Concord House near Beaverton, Oregon and also in Augusta, Georgia. Marilynn is survived by her husband Norman G. Robertson of Long Beach; daughter Rita May Allen of Portland, OR; sons Richard Robertson of Portland, Mark Robertson of Milwaukie, OR and Jim Robertson of Boise, Idaho. Also surviving are 10 grandchildren and 5 great-grandchildren. She was a loving wife and mother who also enjoyed many friendships.
