Ronald LeRoy Ross

Ronald "Ron" Ross76, of Long Beach, died August 16, 2011 in Ilwaco. He was born May 10, 1935 in Minneapolis, Minnesota to Erwin J. and Anne M. (Olson) Ross. The family moved to Seattle where Ron grew up and graduated from Lincoln High School. He then served in the military. Ron moved to the Peninsula in 1968. On April 21, 1978 he married Janet Darnell. Janet preceded him in death this past June. During his business career, Ron owned Obie's Service Station, worked for the NAPA store and later Art's Auto Parts. He was a member of the Elks and enjoyed all things sports. Ron is survived by Children Mike Ross of Seattle, Bob Ross of Bremerton, Sue Iverson of Springfield, OR, Jeff Ross of Florida and Jona Korzinski of Long Beach; brother Duane Ross of Arizona; sister Maryann Simmons of Seattle and grandchildren Greg Iverson of Chinook, Chuck Morris of Long Beach, Jon and Eric Ross of Bremerton. No formal services are planned. Arrangements entrusted to Penttila's Chapel by The Sea, Long Beach.
