Long Beach resident Lou E. Everett, 87, died November 8, 2011 in Ilwaco. The daughter of John and Lila (Clawson) Jeffries, she was born June 17, 1924 in Colby, Kansas. In 1939 she moved with her family to Chadwick, Missouri. There she met Riley Everett while attending church and they were married October 28, 1941 in Ozark, Missouri. In 1943 she and Riley moved to the Long Beach Peninsula where Lou assisted her husband in the operation of his various construction and excavating businesses. Later they built Wildwood RV Park on Sandridge Road, operating the park for the ensuing 23 years. In past years Lou was a member of the Ocean Beach Presbyterian Church. She took pride in her homemaking skills and was known as an excellent cook. Survivors include sons Ronnie (Tsuruko) Everett of Lompoc, California, Ken Everett of Long Beach and Jeff (Karen) Everett of Sultan, Washington; daughter Penny (Howard) Carson of Kalama, Washington and Roberta (Paul) Yochim of Portland, Oregon; four grandchildren and five great-grandchildren. Her husband Riley preceded her in death in 2009. Funeral service will be held Saturday, November 19, 2011, 1:00 PM at Penttila's Chapel by The Sea in Long Beach. A reception follows at the chapel.
