Ronald Merrill

Ronald L. Merrill, 80, a 35 year resident of Long Beach, died In Ilwaco on January 22, 2012. Born December 18, 1931 in Vancouver, Washington, he was the son of Lloyd and Hazel (Benke) Merrill. Ron was employed in construction projects throughout the Northwest during his career. He served his country during the Korean Conflict as a member of the United States Army. He and his wife Donna were married 59 years. She survives residing in Long Beach. Also surviving are his mother-in-law Bessie Braschuk; sister-in-law Marjorie Stover; brother-in-law Chet Braschuk; and nieces Karyn Veland, Lynn Stover and Lori Adams. He will be missed. No service will be held per his request. Cremation arrangements are by Penttila's Chapel by The Sea, Long Beach. Those wishing may make memorials to the South Pacific County Humane Society.
