William Carl Zimmerman, born to Carl and Beulah Zimmerman in Yakima, WA, October 28, 1939, spent his life surrounded by the people and things he loved. Though he never took an African Safari, he thrived within the savannahs and jungles of a world richly steeped in taxidermy. He enjoyed laughter and always had an anecdote or story ready to tell. He focused his efforts on being the best husband, father, grandfather and great-grandfather that he could be. He sincerely believed that true wealth came from his family and friends. He will be dearly missed. Bill died quietly at his home on Wednesday, February 8, 2012. He is survived by his wife, Diane; his brothers Joe and Jim; his sons William Bing and Daniel; daughters Sherrie and Jennifer; grandsons Michael, Alex, Oliver, Damien, and Tyler; granddaughters Julieanne, Lisha, Mira, Brandace, and Crystal; great-grandsons Michael and Ryder; great-granddaughters Jenna and Reta. A memorial will be held Saturday, February 18th, 2010, at New Life Church in Ilwaco, WA at two p.m. Condolences may be sent to Diane Zimmerman at P.O. Box 375, Long Beach, WA, 98631. Arrangements are by Penttila's Chapel by the Sea and his guestbook is available at www.penttilaschapel.com.
