Nancy M. Larson, 90, of Naselle, joined Jesus in Heaven on February 18, 2012, succumbed to a short bout with cancer. She was surrounded by her family at her bedside. She was born to Charles and Anna (Wirkkanen) Bighill on November 14, 1921. She attended Naselle grade and high schools graduating in 1939. She was swept off her feet by the handsome Vernon Larson of Rosburg, who was her husband for 48 years until his death in 1990. She moved back to Naselle where she lived the rest of her life. . They had 2 sons: Keith Larson of Warrenton, OR and Royce and Cindy Larson of Chehalis, WA. Nancy was much loved by all her family including grandchildren Kevin and Angie Larson of Ketchikan, AK, Peter and Amie Larson of Chehalis, WA, and Sarah and Daniel Searles of Seattle, as well as great grandsons Landon, Cash, and Thomas Larson. She was very active with sports, going to numerous events, a member of the Naselle Congregational Church including Martha's circle, the rag gang and Friday club. She enjoyed knitting, puzzles, flowers and gardening, clam digging, crayfishing and picking little wild blackberries. She enjoyed talking and walking with her childhood best friend, Anna Wirkkala-Ehrlund. She was a woman with much SISU. She will be greatly missed by her family and friends. We know that she loved Jesus and he has taken her home. A Funeral service will be at Naselle Congregational Church, Saturday, February 25, 2012 10:00 AM with burial to follow at Peaceful Hills Cemetery.
