Eugene W. Cox

Eugene W. "Gene" Cox, 70, died at this Ocean Park residence on May 11, 2012 following a valiant battle with cancer. The son of Elwood and Gertrude (Haukaas), he was born in Tacoma on January 15, 1942. Gene received his elementary education and continued residing in Tacoma until 1956 when he moved to Modesto, California where he attended Thomas Downey High School. He lived there until 1983 when he made to move to Tucson, Arizona, moving to Ocean Park in 1996 where he resided until his passing. Gene was an expert auto electrician and mechanic. Always willing to lend a hand to others, he also enjoyed dancing and events at the Ocean Park Eagles where he was a member. Gene is survived by a daughter Diana E. Cox; and brothers Ronald Cox and William Cox both of Ocean Park. He was preceded in death by his parents and his brother Elwood Cox and sister Diana Cox. Private services are planned.
