Surfside resident Howard B. Parker, 95, died May 8, 2013 in Raymond, WA. The son of J. Ewell and Jewell (Caffey) Parker, he was born August 29, 1917 in Uvalde, Texas. He spent many years farming in Texas, California & Oregon. Later on he owned a service station. During World War II he served his country with the US Navy, serving aboard an aircraft carrier in the Pacific Theater. Forty-four years ago he moved to the Surfside were enjoyed many years playing golf and going south for the winter. Howard is survived by sisters Bernice, Nina and Nancy; several grandchildren and several nieces and nephews. Twice widowed, he was preceded in death by his wives Meveret Jolin Parker and Marie Carnahan Parker. No service will be held. His guestbook is available at www.penttilaschapel.com.
