Joshua J. Gray, 28, died September 30, 2013 at his residence in Blackfoot, Idaho. The son of Rick and Michaela Gray, he was born in Astoria on August 15, 1985. Josh grew up on the Peninsula where he attended Long Beach elementary. He graduated from Ilwaco High School where he lettered in football, track and wrestling for the Fishermen and participated in the state wrestling tournament. During his high school years Josh was a deck hand for Pacific Salmon Charters in Ilwaco. Following high school he worked for C&C Logging and Active Enterprises. In February of this year he moved to Blackfoot where he was employed at Spudnik where he worked as a welder making farm equipment. Josh enjoyed outdoor activities including motocross biking, skydiving and fishing and also reading. Josh is survived by his parents Rick and Micaela Gray; sister Tishina Gray and Chenoa (Daniel); brother Jeremy (Ashley) Gray; aunts and uncles Jolene Smith, Doug and Nadine Florence, Kathlene Burger, Larry Gray, Terry and Kathy Gray, Sheridan and Mark Reusser, Tracy Madson, Larry Hampton and Jamie Hampton; nieces and nephews Kaden Gray, Cortney Matajcich, Ashlynn Gray, Zack Gray, Layla Gray, Larry Gray Jr., Nick Gray, Angela Rassmusen, Justin Burger, Savannah Richey and Sierra Richey, and his fiancee Jessica. Celebration of His Life will be held Sunday, October 20, 2013 at 2:00 PM in the auditorium of Ilwaco High School (Hilltop) in Ilwaco with a reception following in the cafeteria.
