Loucille Hawke, 78, died at her Chinook, Washington residence following a valiant battle with cancer on January 23, 2014 with her family at her side. A lifelong resident of the Northwest, she was born in Albany, Oregon on February 27, 1935. She grew up in the Sellwood area of southeast Portland and was a graduate of Lincoln High School in Portland. She married Kenneth Hawke on June 13, 1953 in Portland, Oregon and together they built the family home in Beavercreek, Oregon where they resided a number of years. Twenty eight years ago they retired to Chinook, spending winter months in Wellton, Arizona. Loucille relished her role as a wife, mother and homemaker. She sold real estate for Century 21 Realty and enjoyed attending sporting events with her children and grandchildren and was also an avid fisherman. Camping, hunting, water skiing, fishing and teaching water aerobics were also enjoyed as was quilting at Chinook Lutheran Church where she was a member. Besides her husband Ken of Chinook, Loucille is survived by daughters Debra (James) Orfield of Hillsboro, OR, Donelle (James) Cramer of Salem, OR and D'Ann (Gary) Horrocks of Vancouver, WA; twelve grandchildren, 26 great-grandchildren and one great-great grandchild.
