John Rooney

John J. Rooney 8/8/27 - 1/26/14 Dad moved here in 2011 from Massachusetts where he had lived all his life. He fell in love with the coast and the people. He truly never met a stranger. He liked to say he never retired; he just stopped working. He died peacefully in his sleep before his Alzheimers robbed him of his personality and independence. Predeceased by his wife, Audrey, and his son, Tom, he is survived and missed by his daughter, Sharon Rooney, living in Seaview. No formal memorial celebration is planned, but those of you who knew Dad can raise a glass with his toast, "Happy days," and remember he always said everything was "peachy."
