Peggy Mae McGrew, 82, died peacefully on February 13, 2014 in Long Beach. The daughter of John and Lucille Hoon, she was born July 6, 1931 in Grandview, Washington. When she was in the sixth grade she moved with her family to Camas where she grew up and graduated from Camas High School in 1949. Peggy married Harold "Coke" McGrew on May 5, 1950 and they settled in Camas. Peggy was a wife, mother and homemaker. She retired from the Camas public school system where she had been a secretary for 13 years. She and Harold were residents of Long Beach the past 17 years. Peggy loved gardening and the outdoors and was a member of the Methodist church. Survivors include her husband Harold "Coke" McGrew of Long Beach; son David McGrew of Camas; daughter Lonnie Babcock of Tigard, OR; brothers Phil Hoon of Yakima, WA and Pat Hoon of Spokane, WA; sister Sally Baldwin of Yakima and Sue Kelly of Trout Lake, WA; grandchildren Doug and Brian McGrew.
