Donald Lee Gray, 63, died September 10, 2014 in Ilwaco as a result of a heart attack. The son of Ray and Gerrie Gray, he was born in Vancouver, Washington on February 7, 1951. Don grew up in Vancouver where he attended school and Clark College. He served in the US Army for a number of years. He was employed as a diesel mechanic before becoming a waste water treatment technician with over 30 years experience, employed in Woodland, Washington for 13 years prior to retirement. He also had resided in Kelso. Don was a member of the Morman church. He enjoyed fishing, crabbing, clamming, camping and other family activities. He was an avid Seattle Seahawks fans. Always willing to lend a hand, he enjoyed every minute of his retirement. He moved to Long Beach last year and was looking forward to many years at the coast. Don married his wife Barbara on June 1, 2002. She survives residing in Long Beach. Also surviving are daughters Tracy Winchester of Longview, WA, Toni Mitchell of Roanan, Montana, and Terri VanBuskirk of Goldendale, WA; brother Marlan Gray of Herion, Montana; grandchildren Tajai Basgal and Tristan Peterson of Longview, Tira and Teela Matt of Roanan, Montana and Coulton, Carly, Skylar, Gunnar VanBurkirk of Goldendale, WA; and nephews Joe and Levi Gray.
