Brian Eugene Faley, 54, of Long Beach, passed away March 7, 2015 at home, surrounded by his loving family, following a lengthy illness. He was born in Vancouver, January 19, 1961 to Arnie & Sharon (Cooper) Faley. He grew up in the Clark County area, attending local schools there. Brian's first job was landscaping at Janzen Beach Mall. He moved to the peninsula in 1989. He loved working on cars. That interest led to a career as an auto body tech. He could cut a car in half and put it back together and you couldn't tell. In 1997 he started work at Astoria Ford in the body shop. In 2001 Brian went to work for Lum's Auto, until illness forced his retirement in 2007. On October 2, 1999 he married the love of his life Barbara Houston and they established their home in Long Beach. Brian loved shooting pool, being outdoors, fishing and driving on the beach. Spending time with family was dear to him, and his biggest joy was being a grandfather. He loved them all deeply. Besides Barbara, Brian is survived by his father, Arnie (Jackie) Faley of Washougal; mother Sharon Bishop of Castle Rock; daughters Kandi (Chris) Eros of Ocean Park and Franny (David) Zinsli of Long Beach; brother Tracey (Al) and wife Tami Faley of Kalama; sister Corrine Kroon of Castle Rock, grandchildren Kevin and Cameron Eros of Ocean Park and Sunday and Summer Zinsli of Long Beach as well as several nieces and nephews.
