Francis M. "Frank" Dunn, 67, died recently at his Ocean Park residence. A native of Vancouver, he attended Hudson's Bay High School where he enjoyed playing baseball and football. At age 17 Frank joined the US Army where he served for over 10 years, honorably discharged with the rank of E6. According to his family, Frank was awarded the Silver Star, two Bronze Stars, Purple Heart and several other commendations. He served in both Viet Nam and Korea and it was there that he met and married his wife, Kum Nam. Returning stateside, Frank lived in Vancouver, later moving to Portland. Blessed with a keen intellectual mind, he was a computer technician and programmer. In 2003 he fulfilled his dream of living at the coast when he moved to Ocean Park. There he tinkered with vintage automobiles, was a member of the Eagles lodge and enjoyed friends. Frank is survived by daughter Ellen Dunn-Bessette, son Hank Dunn, brothers Lee and Glenn Dunn, sisters Linda Tudor, Janice Dunn and Teresa Dunn, and grandchildren Gianni, Elizabeth, Katherine, Madeline and Evelyne. He was preceded in death by his brother Warren and his parents. Funeral service with full military honors was held at Willamette National Cemnetery in Portland.
