Ocean Park resident Carole Milhiser, 61, died in Portland of natural causes. Born April 26, 1954 in Evansville, Indiana. She later moved with her family to Kelso, Washington where she graduated from high school.
Carole resided in Texas and Louisiana before returning to her roots in the Longview/Kelso area. It was there that she met her husband Carl (love at first sight!) in 1999 and they married in 2003. In 2012 she and Carl moved to Ocean Park to be near Carole's parents.
Carole was employed by Peninsula Pharmacies. Besides time with family and friends, Carole loved fishing, clamming, beach combing, gardening and antiquing. She loved also to spoil her two grandchildren and enjoyed football. Carole was an amazing daughter, mom, wife, grandmother and friend. She never knew a stranger, had a huge heart for all, took care of numerous canine companions, and had a deep passion for collecting Pegasus figurines, having over 100 different ones.
Besides her husband Carl of Ocean Park, she is survived by her parents Donald and Yvonne Howell of Ocean Park; children Ty (Danielle) Davis of Longview, WA and Todd (Jenny Hicks) Riffe of Kelso, WA; grandchildren Hailey Davis and Jaden Davis.
A memorial service will be held Sat., December 5th, 2015, 12 Noon at the Peninsula Church Center, 5000 N Place, Seaview. A reception follows. Her guestbook is available at www.penttilaschapel.com.
