Steve Olson, 50, passed away on Dec. 4, 2015, at his home in Grays River, Wash. He was born on Dec. 22, 1964, in Ilwaco, Wash., to Keith and Anita Olson. He graduated from Naselle-Grays River Valley School. Steve loved logging and was a logger all of his adult life. He enjoyed fishing, clam digging, yard work, gardening, putting crawdad traps out, listening to country music and talking on the phone with his many friends. Steve is survived by his wife, Deborah Olson of Grays River; daughters, Katie Lee Olson of Astoria and Briannan Olson of Naselle; sisters, Amy (Mark) Genn of Orofino, Idaho; Vickie (Mike) Olmstead of Rosburg; niece, Bailey Berseng; nephews, Hayden Genn and Kyle and Gary Olstead. He has four stepchildren and several step-grandchildren. He also leaves behind several pets and a beloved dog named Hope. His parents and a brother, Loren Olson, preceded him in death.
