Ilwaco resident Danya C. Schweigel, 26, died at her residence on May 28, 2016. The daughter of Dan and Dawn (Davis) Schweigel, she was born in Vancouver, Washington on May 17, 1990. At age 5 she came to the Peninsula with her parents. She attended Long Beach Elementary and graduated from Ilwaco High School.
Danya was employed as a waitress at Laurie's Breakfast House in Seaview. She enjoyed free time with her children and loved music.
Danya is survived by her longtime companion Collin Jeffrey LaPlant of Ilwaco; parents Dan Schweigel and Dawn Davis; children Carson Nathan LaPlant and Carly Dawn LaPlant; sister Heather Landberg; and other members of her extended family.
Memorial service will be held Tues., June 14, 2016, 3:30 PM at The Peninsula Church Center, 5000 N Place, Seaview. Her guestbook is available at www.penttilaschapel.com.
